Rapper Stevo Simple Boy has insisted that President William Ruto should invite should invite him to Statehouse.
The Shega hitmaker says that his intention to chat with the president is to ensure that they come up solutions for the things that are going wrong in the country
“In government, you can’t know what the president is planning or planning about. I would like him to invite me state house to discuss these issues, if everything is going wrong, he should tell us,” he said in an interview with SPM Buzz.
Although there have been calls for him to represent Gen Z as their leader, Stevo said that his visit to statehouse is for patriotism.
“Watu wamesesema nikuwe kiongozi wa Gen Z. Hio inawezekana, Mimi Gen Z,” he said.
Stevo first expressed his interest of meeting with the head of state about a week ago, in an Instagram video, when Kenyans were still determined to protests against the government. President Ruto re-shared the video, ahead of his X Space with the younger generation.
“I would like to tell President William Ruto, you re the nation’s president, I am the President for the weak, plan a day for me to come to Statehouse so that we can discuss on things that can help citizens,” he said.
Also in a recent interview, the renown rapper explained why he was unable to participate in the anti-government protests as well as the initial anti-Finance Bill protests like some of his fellow celebrities.
“First of all, as the president of the weak, we were barred by police at Thika Road from accessing town,” he said adding that he informed Kenyans about his predicament.

Stevo said that the police blocked them despite not doing any wrong. He added that he was only championing for justice.
“Why would they block us. The police should also know that we were fighting for their rights. We want our country to be better and attract foreigners to be proud of our nation,” he said.
