Nyawira

Sergeant Rose Nyawira is among the KDF officials who lost their lives in the deadly military helicopter crash that occurred on Thursday April 18 in West Pokot county.

Nyawira was a photographer in the military and was accompanying her boss Gen. Francis Ogolla on official duty in the North Rift region, when the unfortunate incident occurred.

A look into her Facebook account indicates that she studies at Multimedia University . She is also an alumni of Mugoiri Girls High School. Her profile further indicated that she was single.

Kenyans have been saddened by Nyawira’s death, with those who know her describing her as a pure soul.

“Sergeant Rose Nyawira was my classmate in Multimedia University while we were studying Mass communication. To us she was just Rozie. Honestly one of the purest souls I ever met,she always had a big smile and was quick to forgive. Very kind. She didn’t deserve to go like this,” Heat dealer, an X user said.

Former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko mourned Nyawira as well as the other soldiers who lost their lives.

“Sergeant Rose Nyawira the late CDF’s photographer. So so cute kalikuwa karembo sana hata alikuwa na mwanya kama mimi. May the souls of all our departed soldiers rest in eternal peace. Familia poleni sana May the Lord in heaven give you strength during this difficult moment you’re undergoing. It’s very painful to lose a loved one,” he said.
