American rapper Rick Ross has expressed his great admiration for Nigerian Afrobeat artist Ayra Starr.

Through an Instagram video, Rick Ross said Ayra Starr is amazing and talented. He further raised a toast to her saying that he would love to meet her once he visits Nigeria.

“I want to take it all the way to Nigeria, to a superstar, beautiful, the one and only Ayra Starr. And when you a boss like us you enjoy bamboo, so ama make a toast to you Arya Star,” he sad.

“Nigeria, when I come over there, we going to celebrate like bosses, lets hold it up baby, lets hold the bamboo up. Nigeria all around the world,” he added.

His remarks attracted wild reactions from fans with some suggesting that Rick Ross and Ayra would make a wonderful couple.

Rick Ross has in the past collaborated with Nigerian artists like P-square(in Beautiful Onyinye, 2011)  and Adenkule Gold  on a remix of his his song 5 star. This was long before Ayra Star became a household name.

The American rapper visited Nigeria for the first time in 2012 where he headlined a show and shot the video of his single Hold Me Back. He also visited Nigeria in 2022 to perform at an event.
