Today is a special day for president William Ruto as he will be turning 56yrs and also a date where he commemorates his wedding anniversary with First Lady Rachel Ruto.
Unlike most individuals birthday celebration style ,President William Ruto will be celebrating his 56th birthday in a unique way.
President Ruto revealed that he will be planting 56 trees significant to his new age and there after launch a tree-growing campaign in Ngong, Kajiado County.
This was revealed through a statement by government spokesperson Hussein Mohammed.
The initiative, dubbed the National Tree Growing & Restoration Campaign, plans to mobilize the country to plant tress across the nation as away of combating effects of climate change.
State House spokesperson Hussein Mohammed further noted that the campaign#jazamiti will be targets to plant15 billion trees by 2032.
“President @WilliamsRuto to launch the National Tree Growing & Restoration Campaign on his birthday; to plant 56 trees commensurate to his age, on his 56th birthday & kickstart the tree growing campaign that targets to mobilize the nation in growing 15B trees by 2032,” he tweeted.
