Comedian Fred Omondi, the younger of brother of comedian-turned activist Eric Omondi was buried on Saturday at their rural home in Sega, Siaya county.

A woman who claimed to be having his child however received a thorough warning from Fred’s sister just hours to the burial, after she spend a whole week at their home, after learning about his death.

The sister demanded the woman to provide the child, as she came alone to the funeral.

“Nimeingia from Europe naskia ati bibi ya  Fred  ako na mtoto. Amekaa hapa one week. Na hio clip inaingia social media mdelete,” she said.

Fred’s sister noted that the family is aware that Fred has a child and the she knows the child’s mother, but the woman who was at their home was a total stranger.

“Huyu nimemwona hapa kama ako na mtoto angetuletea, tulimpatia fare alete mtoto, yeye amekuja kuzika Fred, yule mtoto ndio angekuja kuzika baba yake ama nasema makosa?” she posed.

Fred’s sister added that the woman claiming to be his baby  mama will not take advantage of the situation under her watch.

“Tumepoteza Fred tuko na uchungu na yeye naye anakuja kuclout chase kwetu.Nitamtandika, atuletee mtoto,” she said.

According to her, the woman claimed that child is Nairobi and would cry when questioned about it.

The woman, whose identity is unknown said in an interview that she preferred to go for Fred’s funeral alone because she was unsure of the reception, as it was her first time to visit the home.

“Mimi ni bibi ya Fred. Niko na mtoto. Ako two years na anaitwa Kyla Adhiambo Omondi,” she stated. ” Nilika tu pekee yangu coz this was my first time to come home. I was not sure whether ningekaribishwa ama ningefukuzwa,”

Eric had however welcomed anyone having Fred’s child saying that he will take care of the young ones. His only condition was that the children should resemble his late brother.
