In a recent confession, popular musician Doreen Mumbua, known in the music industry as The Mumbua, opened up about a significant event in her personal life.
This was during a recent interview, The Mumbua disclosed that she was once engaged with a ring worth Ksh. 800,000. In the interview she shared her confession as:
“Nishai kuwa engaged na ring ilikuwa worth 800k,” judging from the high value of the ring, it shows how her past relationship was full of love and she was highly treasured by this anonymous rich guy.
She added that the guy sacrificed that much willingly all because of the love he had for her. ” Alikuwa ananipenda she said.”
However, the relationship did not have a happily ever after ending. When asked about the current status, she revealed that the relationship did not last and that the guy dumped her eventually.
Mumbua also confessed that she sold the ring afterwards claiming that she cannot go broke and yet she has something of such high value in the house.
“Na ring nkaukuza.” She stopped then continued, “Sasa wewe ukiwachwa ntakuwa nimesota na Niko na ring ya 800k kwa nyumba?” She asked the rhetorical question to explain and justify her decision to sell the expensive ring after the breakup.

The popular musician, was further questioned about the reasons behind the breakup. She responded that “life happened.”
She said this indicating that there were various unforeseen circumstances that finally led to the end of their relationship.
It was evident that she did not want to mention the real reason for their split after the engagement.
After the breakup, she admitted to having some regrets, primarily because of the financial reasons “Juu ya Doo,” she emphasized, noting that her regrets were more about the money than the emotional aspects.
Despite the breakup and her regrets, The Mumbua continues to focus on her music career, using her experiences to fuel her passion and creativity in the industry.
