Lawyer turned government critic Morara Kebaso has been arrested by the police.

According to reports, Kebaso was arrested by detectives using a Subaru at around 11.15 am. A video of the vehicle believed to be ferrying the activist has also been widely shared on social media.

According to Lawyer Pareno Solonka, Morara was ferried to Lang’ata police station.

“Quick update, the vehicle has gone to Langata Police Station. Morara is at Langata Police Station,” the lawyer wrote on X.

Morara al;so took to X revealing that he has been arrested over the chaos that were witnessed at Bomas of Kenya on Friday during the Public Participation forum on the impeachment of Rigathi Gachagua.

“I have been arrested over what happened at Bomas. Can you imagine? CAN YOU IMAGINE. Does it even make sense jamani. What is this now. Ni nini hii? Ah,” read the tweet on his X account.

His arrested comes just hours after he accused the National Intelligence Service of planting a mole in his team.

“When the DCI came to this office for an arrest, they did not guess, they didn’t look for my office, remember this compound is so big with so many offices but they didn’t look for my office, they came straight to my office as if they had the layout of the building,” Morara said.

“So the NIS placed a person in my team a long time ago. When you research this person’s history you are not able to know which Primary School they went to, they wiped their profile clean,” he stated.

He also revealed that he was nearly poisoned.
