Gen Z

City Preacher Harrison Ng’ang’a is seeking God’s intervention to understand Gen Zs, the ring leaders of ongoing protests against the government.

According to him, he is confused why the generation would hit the streets during mid day and end their protests as early as 4pm, breaking the early mornings and late evenings norm.

Ng’ang’a,  the leader of the Christ Foundation Fellowship Ministry, said that he approached them to find out  the reason behind the seemingly awkward decisions.

“Niliuliza Gen Z kwananini wanafanya maandamano saa sita, wanasema hawaezikuamka mapema. Mnaanzaje mgomo saa saba? Hata nyinyi mmewahiona mgomo kama hio mpaka polisi wengine wanaenda nyumbani wanasema hakuna mgomo, wanaitwa haraka ndio sasa wanatokea” he told his church, admitting that they had also thought that there will be no protests, having experienced calmness from morning.

“Niliona lunchtime tulisoma vizuri hapa mpaka tukasema Gen Z hio mgomo walisema hakuna, kuenda huko nje, ni kukohoa imeanza,” he said.

Ng’ang’a added that he knew now that the protests had began at lunch hour, they would go into late in the night, leaving people stranded, but to his shock, by 4 pm, there were no more protests.

“Saa kumi, wote niliwaona kwa barabara wanaenda nyumbani kuuliza ni nini, tumemaliza mgomo. It is a generation I don’t understand, may God help me,” Ng’ang’a said.
