Trending Uasin Gishu Girl Mercy Tarus has rejected  a job offer extended to her by Narok Senator Senator Ledama Olekina.

Ledama said that he would like Mercy to work for him, but he did not give details on what capacity she would be serving under. He also acknowledged her braveness saying that the future belongs to youths like her.

“Mercy Tarus, I would like you to work for me, the future  belongs to candid youths, let’s talk,” he shared on Twitter.

Responding to the offer, Tarus swiftly turned it down emphasizing that her priority lies in addressing systemic issues within the government.

“Talk to your fellow senators to bring the Uasin Gishu county government to book…maybe then we can talk,” she said.

He reactions has elicited mixed reactions online with some netizens saying that she did the right thing to stand with her colleagues.
