Rally driver Maxine Wahome is set to be charged with the murder of her late boyfriend Asad Khan.
The prosecution on Tuesday morning told the court that Maxine will be arraigned on Wednesday to answer to charges of murder. This comes after the court directed the DPP to file a report in court on whether they will charge her with murder or not.
The state has asked the court to close the file without any clarification on what to follow. The DPP has also asked the court to detain Maxine at Kilimani police station so as to undergo a mental assessment before taking the plea of murder.
Khan died in December after a domestic squabble. Maxine was arrested in December last year for alleged assault on Asad who was her boyfriend but later passed on due to injuries he sustained. The police then said they were investigating the matter.
