Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu has been named among the least active youth senators in the 2023 parliamentary scorecard that covers senate proceedings.

In a research conducted by Mzalendo Trust research, senators Karenzo Nyamu, Hezena Lamaletian, and Chimera Mwinzago have been the least active legislators in the senate house and have only spoken a few times since the13th Parliament was sworn into office.

Mwinzago of UDA spoke 23 times, followed by Hezena of ODM 21, then Nyamu closes the list as the most inactive for participating 17 times in the eleven months period.

The vocal city politician is yet to respond to the research.

The report is however contrary to Nyamu’s life outside parliament. The politician has been making headlines since being involved with married Mugithi star Samidoh Muchoki romantically.

The mother of two was once subjected to appear before the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) disciplinary committee over shameful drama in Dubai that ensued between her and Samidoh’s wife late last year.

The mother of three has sired two children with the Muguthi star.

A section of furious citizens asked For Nyamu’s expulsion from the senate for her social media misconduct claiming she has breached the constitution on leadership and integrity.
