London-based Kenyan actor Lenana Kariba has revealed that the he is a stay at home dad, leaving fans with questions about how he is able to support his family.
During a Question and Answer session with Instagram fans, Kariba admitted that being a stay at home dad was best as it allows him time to watch his daughter grow.
“Yep, I’m 100%stay at home dad and it’s the best. We are lucky with our setup as wifey works from home in the UK. So for lunchtime and little breaks, she comes and plays with us but I definitely take the lead in childcare during the week,” he said.
“To my men what are you waiting for? Daddy life is awesome and it makes sense financially. Trust me you will have the best time watching your little one grow.”
This however raised a lot of questions on whether he is able to provide any financial support to his family and whether he was leaving the whole responsibility to his wife.
“This is how it works for wifey and I. I make money coming back to Kenya for acting work,, I still do content creation work and some other passive income form assets I own in Kenya. That’s given me freedom to be very chilled in the UK,” Kariba explained.

The actor added that his wife has a traditional corporate job and her income is more than their needs.
“So I keep my income in Kenya and we use it when we are there and for building our new home etc,” he went on.
“I only do acting in Kenya or now. While Ava(their daughter) is still small. I want to spend as much time as possible with her teaching and enjoying the young year. I’m still working with some brands doing content creation which I can do from any where in the world,” he earlier told a fan who wanted to know whether he was working in London.
He also spoke about how being a dad was taking him.
“It was the life that was made for me. There is no greater joy than the moments I spend with my daughter and I can’t wait to show her the whole world,” he said.
Kariba married his wife Hellen in 2021 in a lavish wedding. The two met at a mutual friend’s birthday party in Kileleshwa.
