“It’s Crazy” Davido Opens Up After Welcoming Twins On The Month He Lost His Son

Nigeria’s renown award-winning artist, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido and his wife Chioma recently welcomed their first set of twins.

Confirming the news for the first time, Davido, while speaking at the United Masters Select Con event on Saturday, said they were shocked to discover that they were expecting twins.

The twins were born approximately a a year after the couple lost their son Ifeanyi in a swimming pool incident.

The singer spoke of his healing journey following the death of his son and the birth of his newborn twins.

“We were shaking when we found out that we were expecting twins. It was in the same month my son passed away in October last year, and my wife gave birth this year in October. It’s crazy,” he said.

Foillowing the loss ofd his son, the popular artist nealy gave up on his music career.

“I was at the point of giving up. I thought I would never sing again. Despite having my most successful year, releasing my biggest album, and my wife delivering twins, a beautiful boy and a girl, I felt like I came back in double,” Davido further shared.

News of the singer had been blessed with twins, a boy and a girl, in the United States surfaced on Friday.

The singer talked about how he questioned his faith in God but continued to persevere. He said that he would like to share his experiences with the world, staying focused with his passion despite facing life’s challenges.

“I really want people to see that side of me and know that I kept faith. It’s very hard when such things happen, and you don’t want to believe in God. I still had to do what I love, and I remained focused and had a great team around me. I am almost at the finish line,” Davido concluded his statement.
