Bensoul has said that he has no plans of going back to the University to complete his Civil Engineering degree.
The artist dropped out of campus during his third year of study to focus on music.
Speaking to a local digital media, the Navutishwa singer said that he wouldn’t go back to school because of his busy schedule.
According to him, he quit school because he was unhappy although he was a smart student.
“I was really a smart student. The reason why I dropped out of it is because I was really unhappy despite the fact that I am passing exams, I used to feel I was losing a lot of hours that I felt I should be doing music. I decided to throw all of it away and concentrate on music, sound engineering. Now I can mix my own songs, produce my own songs. Anything that involves music and business that is where I want to be,” he said.
Bensoul says that he has never regretted his decision to quit college.
“It wasn’t an easy process. Actually when I quit school, I used to live in Ngara. Paying rent became a burden and I moved to Kayole with my boys, where we were paying rent of 3K. Luckily I was surrounded by amazing brothers from Hart The Band. All of we were not going to school but we knew this music was our school,” he said.
