Kenyan artiste Lil Maina is mourning following the demise of his grandfather. On Tuesday, February 21, Maina announced the death of his grandpa, with whom he enjoyed a close relationship with.

Lil Maina revealed that he was at loss for words while declaring love for the man who raised him.

“I don’t know what to say, Babu, I will always have you in my heart. It is not the same without you, it will never be.”

The kishash hitmaker said that he would miss his grandfather while crediting him for the amazing support.

“The best grandfather to me and to everyone. I will miss you so much. Thank you for making me who Iam today. Thank you for the support and thank you for raising me. I never wanted to post anything about this, but I thought it would be good for you guys to know.” he emotionally penned.

In a past interview Maina credited his talent to his maternal family. He noted that he started posting  the captivating videos in 2018 not expecting that they would attract a huge audience and sense of liking locally and  internationally.

His social media pages capture several videos in which Maina pulls pranks on his grandparents and hilariously goofs off.
