Amber Ray and her fiancee Kennedy Rapudo welcomed their daughter, Africana Rapudo, in May this year.
Unlike many socialites, Amber Ray opted for a normal delivery, which saw her go through labour pain. In a recent Live session online, the mother of two explained why she preferred to give birth normally when she could have opted for the painless method like her colleagues.
“Nilizaa normal, let me tell you Maina and the funniest thing my doctor alikataa tufanye epidural(an injection in the back to stop ease pain in parts of the body). She said no I don’t advice you to do epidural so I went through everything yaani hio uchungu yote. The reason I opted for normal is because turudi form haraka. I don’t like sitting around I like to be on my toes nikifanya vitu,” Amber Ray said.
At the same time, she revealed that she stopped breastfeeding Africana because she has no milk.
“I am not breast feeding, maziwa ilikataa kabisa but I was really looking forward to it,” the socialite said.

In mid last month, Amber Ray called upon her fans to help her with ideas on how she can increase her milk. Amber said that the issue was stressing her so much.
“There is something that is really stressing me and I just felt like I need to ask you guys. Mothers who are breastfeeding, what do you do to get breast milk? I have tried everything. Eating lactating cookies, the pills, but my milk is still little. The maximum I can get is 50ml,” she said.
During her first pregnancy, things were different since she had enough breast milk for her son. Currently, Africana relies on baby formula.
“The funny thing is that with my firstborn, I had so much milk. Have I hit menopause already? I have even tried pumping. I had to introduce my baby to formula. At the moment she even refuses to breastfeed,” Amber Ray said.
