Singer Akothee encountered goons last night while travelling from her rural home in Rongo, Migori county.
According to her, the unknown individuals had blocked the the road with stones and they were armed with pangas. Akothee was lucky since she was allowed to pass and they even wished her a safe journey.
“Hey Anyone traveling tonight be warned . I just passed Kendu bay and they have blocked the road with stones and carrying pangas, they have allowed me to pass ,but trust me ,I almost pooped on myself 🙏. Be safe . They Told us to put leaves on our car and wished us safe journey 🤔💪 No Idea who they are 🙏 just be safe,” she said on social media.
At the same time, she revealed that her producer lost his belongings around the region last Friday.
“My producer lost his belongings including his laptop while traveling on Friday last week, their bus was broken into in Kisii , during the day imagine ,” the mother of five said.
Her terrifying encounter came just hours to the nationwide protests that have been planned by the opposition.
Akothee however travelled to her rural home earlier this month, shortly after returning to the country from her honeymoon in Greece. She has been spending time with her aging father and she even took him to studio to record a songs.
“We stayed with my dad the whole day in studio remixing his songs featuring Akothee. My dad has mad vocals. Who is waiting for this mad mashup,” she said on Facebook.
