Harambee stars goalkeeper Ian Otieno is set to depart from Zambian side Zesco United for the South Africa’s side Richards Bay FC.

Kenyan premier league side Gor Mahia were also in need of Otieno’s signature but as things are going on Otieno may join the South Africa’s side.

Otieno joined Zesco in 2020 and he has been their first choice goalkeeper since then.

Otieno is expected to replace Jackson Mabogkwane who recently parted ways with Richards and the club has already resumed to training ahead of next season which is scheduled to kick off from August.

Otieno may not be the only Kenyan goalkeeper heading to South Africa, as Tusker’s Brian Bwire is also on the verge of joining Polokwane city FC.
