Kenya premier league champions Gor Mahia are facing stiff competition from two teams in the race to sign Burundi stopper Jonathan Nahimana.

Gor Mahia are in search of an experienced goalkeeper ahead of their awaited CAF champions league competition return after three years.

Gor are facing the stiff competition from Zambia premier league side Green Eagles and Rwandese club Gasogi united who have all contacted the experienced stopper.

Nahimana disclosed that Gor officials initiated the contact after Harambee stars vs Burundi 2026 FIFA world cup qualifier match that was played in Malawi last month. Where Nahimana pulled top drawer saves against Stars to keep the score line respectable for Burundi hence the match ending in a 1-1 draw.

”After the match, Gor reached out. Negotiations between my representative and the club are still on. I can also confirm that there are interests from Zambia and Rwanda,” Nahimana said.

Nahimana confirmed that Tanzania premier league side Namungo are willing to keep him for an extra season but he has not made up his mind on whether he will opt for a new challenge.
