Singer Bahati’s baby mama Yvette Obura has revealed that last year, at around April, she hit the dead end, losing literally everything.

Obura got candid about the tough situation she was in during a live broadcast on TikTok which was intended to encourage her following.

She admitted that the tough times nearly saw her homeless.

According to her, she was afraid of sharing her tribulations on social media for fear of being trolled and the negative energy it would have come with.

“My family, friends and people around me know I was almost becoming homeless. Last year was so hard for me. I was on the verge of being homeless. I was in a very bad place. I would lock myself in the room and cry every day. But one thing about me is I never give up on God and praying. In April is when I lost everything, I mean everything,” the mother of one opened up.

“I remember telling my sister I am moving out of a two bedroom and either go to a bedsitter, one bedroom or mum’s place. My sister told me in everything is serve a living God. I went to my sister’s place for a week. I trusted in God, I picked myself . If you told me last year a time like this I would even be able to afford a trip in Dubai…It is such a blessing to be where right now,” she added.

She went on to list the things she has achieved in the short span of time since picking herself up, including international trips.

“I remember immediately I got my passport, my first trip I did  was in Zanzibar, South Africa twice and I told God, from last year when I lost everything, I will be trying to do two different countries. This is April, I have literally lost everything I am sleeping on the mattress. I remember telling God, I want to make my daughter so proud and I thank God my daughter has able parents. akikosa huku kwingine atapata huku kwingine. For someone who went from sleeping on a mattress within a year, I upgraded my mum’s car, I travelled thrice, this year I am in Dubai, God never sleeps,” she said.
