South African’s and rapp lovers across the world have continued to pour in their tributes to the family and friends of late rapper Kiernan Forbes popularly known by his stage name AKA following his untimely death in Durban.

Reports of AKA’s death were announced by his parents via a statement on social media.

“It is with extreme sadness that we acknowledge the passing of our beloved son and confirm his untimely and tragic passing on the evening of February 10, 2023. We are awaiting further details from the Durban police. To us, Keirnan Jarryd Forbes was a son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend, most importantly father to his beloved daughter Kairo,” a statement from the family reads in part.

At the time of his death AKA was dating one of South Africa’s finest rapper and actress Nadia Nakai.

Nadia Nakai who has been in relationship with AKA for now two years wished him a happy birthday two weeks ago and from her text , she showed how much she loved him.

”Happy Birthday my baby! I love you so much!! You protect me so much! And lift me up… I learn so much from you everyday!!!! And have theeee most fun with you!!! I’m so proud of you!!!!! You’re my blessing!”she posted on her Instagram
