The Cabinet Secretary Ministry of Trade, Investments and Industries (CS) Moses Kuria has come forward to offer a long- overdue  apology to Kenyans.

The controversial CS came under extreme criticism after he made a post on his X account advising Kenyans to prepare their finances for the price of fuel would skyrocket in the coming months.

Kuria  then credited the rising cost of fuel to global and climate change before daring Kenyans to throw stones at him on merits of his honesty.

On Wednesday, the politician seemed to have had a change of heart as he took to his social media to pen an apology to citizens.

Kuria apologised stating that his fellow politicians including Senator Boni khalwale advised him that his comment  was incorrect, insensitive and arrogant. He added that he had been informed that fuel prices would come down.

“Dear Kenyans. On Friday 15th September I made some comments indicating that the price of fuel is likely to go up in the coming months owing to global dynamics. I have since been advised by people like Dr Boni Khaleale and his master that the statement was incorrect, insensitive and ARROGANT. I am made to now understand that the price will come down. I apologize profusely since to err is human” the former Gatundu South MP tweeted.

Kenyans were however unpleased with the apology saying it was not sincere. They descended on his comment section giving opinions CS’s statement.

”Hahaha okay…and it will be funny if they try to increase the fuel prices next month”

‘Debby: Mmetuzoea….mnaongea tu fwaa alafu mnacome na fake apologies  Kaa nazo.

Senator Ledama Ole Kina:Is that a middle finger apology ?

Peter Koima: Waziri, you are carrying sarcasm around like your house keys

Alechemist:The apology is is still arrogant and insensitive. I think you are too incorrigible to be counselled.

Super Metro: Wachana na mihadarati. Personally I can’t accept your apology. You are a very arrogant leader, I wonder how was Ruto thinking when he gave you the job, nkt
