Al Bayt Stadium will host the 2022 World Cup opening ceremony.

Al Bayt Stadium is located 40 km from Qatar’s capital Doha located 40km north of Doha. and has a capacity of 60,000 making it one of the biggest in Qatar.

It has a retractable roof(a flexible roof that can be pulled back or in) which is connected to a number of transportation facilities with onsite parking able to hold 6,000 cars and 350 buses

The stadium also has luxurious hotel suites and rooms with balcony views of the football field.

It will host Group A match between hosts Qatar and Ecuador.
