Renowned comedian Eric Omondi has issued a bold warning to Members of Parliament who intend to vote in favor of the controversial Finance Bill.

In a bold move, Eric Omondi vowed to hold those MPs who will vote for the finance bill accountable.

During an interview with the famous media personality Jeff Koinange, Eric acknowledged the limited power they hold but emphasized their creativity as a powerful tool.

“We don’t have much muscles, but we are creatives,” Omondi stated. “Any MP who is going to vote for the finance bill tutawaona. We will have their names, their faces, and their constituencies.”

Omondi’s warning did not end there. He revealed their plan to creatively target those who support the bill.

“We are going to creatively write songs. We are going to sponsor billboards, we are going to do skits for the next two or three years. Mark my words, not one of them will go back to that house,” he declared, illustrating his commitment to the cause.

Addressing the ”Mama mboga” and ”Bodaboda,” he acknowledged the significance of the role their name played during the Kenya Kwanza Campaigns making them win the elections and yet the government didn’t hold their end of the bargain.

“I want to tell them because the Kenya Kwanza government got to power using their names, ‘Mama mboga’ na ‘Bodaboda.’ ‘Huyu Mama mboga,’ ‘huyu Bodaboda,’ people must be held accountable including the president of this republic,” he said.

The Finance Bill, which has been a subject of heated debate, proposes several tax increases and introduction of new taxes.

These increases and additional taxes will be a big burden to Kenyans more so with the already existing current economical hardships.

Many are struggling to make ends meet due unemployment, underpayment and delayed payments however, whether his creative campaign will sway MPs to vote against the finance bill or not still remains unpredictable.

Even though there have been different dynamics in politics, Eric Omondi’s commitment to holding politicians accountable through humor and creativity marks a new chapter in Kenyan activism adding yet another chapter in politics
