Comedian Eric Omondi has broken silence on the famous World Coin that has taken the world by storm.
This is after he met tens of people lining up to join the cryptocurrency platform outside parliament buildings.
The comedian shared a video saying that many Kenyans were obliged to join World Coin because of unemployment and false promises from the the current government.
“We need to find a lasting Solution to Youth Unemployment in this Country. The Government promised young people Jobs. This promise has not been kept. Young people are literally selling their Souls to the highest bidder,” Eric said.

World Coin was launched on Monday July 24. Participants are required to scan their eyeballs before being given a token of Kshs7000. The scanning to verify if they are truly humans.
Once one is given the token, he/she can transfer them to official crypto exchanges such as Binance an use them in purchasing other cryptocurrencies.
World Coin has however elicied mixed reactions as more and more people continue to join. Lang’ata MP Phelix Odiwuor has since warned that it will end in premium tears.
“Ni Mimi tu ama hii World Coin ni utapeli…naona watu watalia,” Jalango said.
“Kenyans are willing to sell their biodata at Kshs7,000 to a foreign company, this is shocking,” blogger Cyprian Nyakundi wrote on Twitter.
During it’s launch in Kenya, Wangechi Mwangi, Market Manager for TFH in support of WorldCoin East Africa, revealed that Kenya is very integral in the world Coin investment.
”Kenya is the financial and tech hub of East Africa, and there’s a strong, natural interest here in the technologies that are shaping the global digital economy. WorldCoin is a good example of that kind of technology, not only because of the service it provides but because, through the engagement of Tools for Humanity, it allows Kenyans to learn more about cutting-edge financial and identity products,”she said.
