After years of push and pull, regarding the paternity of Jacque Maribe’s son, Eric Omondi has finally recognised him as his child.
The self proclaimed president of comedy in Africa, in an interview with Radio Jambo, admitted that he is the father of the boy and that he is willing to take up the responsibility.
He also revealed that he had discussions with Jackie for the boy to begin living with him.
“Ni mtoto wangu, tulishaongea na Jacque na nitamchukua niishi na yeye. He is my son; I have two children. I will teach him, raise him, live with him; he is my child,”he said.
Before, the duo fought each other on social media , with Jacque labelling him a dead beat father. On the other hand, the comedian revealed he was not certain that he fathered the boy but the former Royal media journalist had denied him an opportunity to take a paternity test for years.
In June last year, Eric said that the matter had been taken to court and they had been forbidden from speaking about it. This is after Jackie called him out for dragging the child into his comedy.
“Nimechoka an hii ujinga. I’ve kept quiet for long. This liar called Eric should come correct and I come with receipts. I have resisted responding to this liar. He thinks parenting is part of his comedy. He lies about everything. Leave my name and my child out of your comedy Eric. I’m tired,” she stated.
The recent development on the matter however comes after just after Eric’s current girlfriend and mother to his daughter Lynne Njihia claimed that she is the only baby mama that he has.
While answering questions from her fans in a YouTube video, she also said that Eric is not aware of any other baby mama.
“No, I don’t. He doesn’t even know, he doesn’t. I’m the only one. Mimi ndio niko,” the 22-year old said.
On plans of having another child, Lynne said that she was not ready especially after undergoing trauma during her previous pregnancy.
