Renowned comedian Eric Omondi remembers his late brother Fred Omondi as a humble and funniest comedian in Kenya.

On a recent interview at the show dubbed “Fred Omondi, Last Laugh – All Stars”  at the Carnivore Simba Saoon, Eric stated that his late brother was even funnier than him, he mentioned that he used to write his first jokes.

When asked how the rest of the family members are coping, he replied that the tragic news of his late brother has not yet sunk in.

“My brother was the funniest comedian in Kenya. Actually he was funnier than me. He is the one who used to write my very first jokes at Churchill show. I remember him as a humble and funny guy,” he said.

Fred Omondi tragically passed away following a boda-boda accident.

According to police reports, the motorcycle carrying him was hit by a speeding bus, causing both the rider and Fred to fall onto the road.

He suffered multiple injuries on his legs and hands and was rushed to Mama Lucy Hospital but, unfortunately, succumbed to his injuries.

As a prominent event emcee and former cast member of the Churchill Show, Fred had made a name for himself in the comedy industry.

His sudden passing has created a big hole in the Kenyan entertainment industry. Fred died just hours to a show he was to perform in Meru, leaving his fans further devastated.

In an effort to honor his legacy, Churchill and other comedians organized a memorial event  on Friday night
