Comedian Eric Omondi has decided to change his protests strategy after getting arrested multiple times.
Speaking outside Milimani Law Courts after being released on a Kshs5,000 cash bail, Omondi said that the fight to ensure the cost of living is lowered will still go on.
He went ahead to notify the government of his upcoming 14-day protests so that they are not caught by surprise like previously.
“We will continue with the fight for unga. I have seen the strategy they are using is to arrest me, which weakens me. While in custody two days when you get out you are tired you take a shower and eat before coming back. They can’t arrest Raila he can protest on a daily basis. Let me for once give them my strategy because I surprise them a lot that is why they wake up and find me in town. This time I want to give the government my strategy so that they prepare,” he said
“We are going to call a 14-day non-stop demonstration, Monday to Monday. We are going to prepare as I leave this Milimani law courts and you know am very good at planning. By now the government should know. Anybody who takes Eric Omondi for granted is very foolish. If you are smart do not ever take Eric Omondi for granted,” he added.
Omondi says that the move will see the government give him an ear just as it did with Raila.
“They heard Baba and for us we just want unga. We are going to do it. There is nothing I have ever said and I failed to do so you will see where, when and how. If you think I will be doing it alone you will get shocked. It will continue even if you arrest me,” he said.
