Controversial gospel singer Ringtone Apoko has puzzled Kenyans after appearing at the Kibera Law Courts with bandages around his head for the hearing of his assault case against Kileleshwa MCA Robert Alai.

In a video shared online, the bandages were tied on his head and another one placed on his chick, the exact location he was smashed by Alai.

It is not clear why he showed up in the court like that since he did not address reporters officially. He was however  heard saying that he was just from the hospital where he had undergone a check up.

Ringtone and Alai were involved in altercation in July 2021 after a minor accident involving their cars at Gigiri. Alai got physical and hit Ringtone with a wooden rungu.

Ringtone has since been complaining about the effects that the beating left him with.

“Alai has never apologised to me, he has never said sorry for hitting me with a Rungu. I am not yet healed inside…in the brain. I am only healed outside, sometimes I faint in the house. One day if I faint in public people might say I am clout chasing,” Ringtone said in an interview last year.
