All of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ Instagram posts have been removed, including the video apology he posted in May following the discovery of hotel security footage showing the music mogul abusing his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura.
Nearly 20 million Instagram users follow Combs’ verified account, and on Thursday, all posts were deleted. Diddy’s profile picture and bio have not been altered, and the account is still live.
The 54-year-old rapper has not publicly disclosed his reasons for deleting his Instagram feed. But according to a TMZ article that Fox News Digital verified via a source, the rapper’s sole intent was to reset his social media, like he has done before.
TMZ was informed by the sources that Ventura and others were not the target of the action. The publication also stated that Combs stands by the remarks he made in the video apologising.
According to TMZ’s sources, the video was shown all over the world and garnered international media attention. The outlet was informed that Combs’ remarks in the video are not to be diminished by the removal of the tape and all of his previous posts.
Looks like P. Diddy knows what’s coming down the pike. He will stand no chance. You had a nice run. Scrubbing your social media accounts will not make his case any easier. pic.twitter.com/QTlTkokQpg

The insiders also revealed to TMZ that Diddy deleted the posts on his own initiative rather than as part of a planned strategy with his team. Diddy founded Bad Boys Records.
Ventura filed a federal lawsuit against Combs on November 16th, alleging that he had abused her physically and sexually. But a day later, when the parties came to an out-of-court settlement, she dismissed the case.
On May 17, CNN made public a security footage from 2016, which supported some of the claims made by Ventura in her complaint against the entertainment mogul from November.
In the video, Combs is shown viciously beating Ventura in a hotel hallway in Los Angeles while only sporting socks and a towel around his waist.
Combs apologised on camera in a now-deleted Instagram post two days after the video’s release, though he did not specifically mention Ventura.
