Nigerian singer David Adeleke, known by his stage name Davido, has confirmed he is getting set to marry Chioma Rowland.

In a previous report, blogger Stella Dimoko Korkus revealed that the couple were planning to wed traditionally i on June 25, at the Eko Hotel in Lagos.

According to Stella, both families were excited about the occasion, which would bring them together in love and build family ties.

In a  video posted on Instagram by a London-based Nigerian pastor and Davido’s longtime friend Tobi Adeboyega, the singer confirmed his upcoming wedding on June 25.

Davido and Tobi were hanging out. He instructed some people in the sitting room to make themselves available in Nigeria because his wedding is on June 25.

“Guy, you have to come to Nigeria on the 25th, it’s my wedding,” he dsaid.

In a recent interview, the singer opened up about his relationship with Chioma, revealing that he knew her before he rose to fame and fortune.

Reflecting on this, Davido expressed gratitude for meeting her during that period, emphasizing that it would have been challenging for him to enter relationships now as he would feel every woman wants him for his money or status.

Davido revealed the significance of authenticity in his circle, noting that success for him lies not just in personal achievements but in the continued presence of those who stood by him during his humble beginnings.

The couple, who lost their son Ifeanyi in a tragic accident in 2022, got engaged during that time in court after pictures of their court wedding circulated online.

The couple welcomed their twins in the United States in October 2023, the year Davido released his album timeless.
