Boniface

Boniface Mwangi’s wife Njeri Mwangi has broken silence after the human activists left fans and followers worried over the weekend.

In a statement shared online, Njeri apologized over the answered calls and messages that they have been getting since then.

She urged Kenyans to be patient, expressing gratitude for their heartfelt concerns.

“Friends and family, sorry for the unanswered calls and messages. Please forgive me and be patient with me. We feel your pure love and support pouring in. We appreciate it all,” Njeri said.

Over the weekend, Boniface deactivated his social media accounts shortly after sharing a cryptic message.

“There is nothing selfish about su**ide. Someone gets to a stage in life and they decide this is it for them. They are ready for the next world. The pain, troubles and expectations of others in this world is too much, they exit the stage. Celebrate their life, end of story,” he wrote.

Boniface Mwangi was a key figure in the protests that rocked the country in June, as he mobilized Kenyans to courageously fight for a revolution.

On July 25, among others, he was arrested as they staged a peaceful march, in memory of those who were shot and killed in June’s protests. The group were dressed in matching white T-shirts and were carrying crosses with names of those who died in the protests.

They were however released on a cash bail of Kshs20,000 after being charged with inciting violence at the Milimani Lawcourts.
