Keroche heiress Anerlisa Muigai has responded to former nominated senator Millicent Omanga for criticising her mother Tabitha Karanja, the senator of Nakuru county.

Omanga targeted Karanja for advocating for the impeachment of governor Susan Kihika.

In a post she shared online, Omanga accused the senator of hypocrisy and political witch hunt, criticising her for seeking to destroy her fellow woman.

“Senator Tabitha Karanja’s call for the impeachment of Governor Susan Kihikais unfortunate and smacks of hypocrisy. It can’t be gainsaid that the people of Nakuru are in need of services. Governor Kihika should be supported to deliver on her mandate without unnecessary diversions and political witch-hunt. For God’s sake, women should stop being their own enemies!” Omanga said.

The statement did not sit well with Karanja’s daughter Anerlisa who took to Insta stories to address it.

“@millyomanga. Don’t try on my mum. When she is given a job she does it at her best, she was given a job by her Nakuru county residence and she will do it at her best,” Anerlisa wrote.

Senator Karanja called upon MCAs to impeach governor Kihika over the standoff at War memorial hospital.

“Instead of the governor implementing any plans for the War Memorial Hospital facility, she closes it, being the only hospital which meets international standards equivalent to Nairobi and the Aga Khan Hospital.

“As the Senator of Nakuru County and the deputy Majority leader of the Senate, I strongly condemn the attack on the hospital by the county. This shows we have a governor who is so inhumane and never follows the rule of law and never respects the court,” she said on Wednesday.

In a separate press conference, Karanja accused the governor of undermining other leaders, arguing that there were enough grounds to impeach her.

“Since Governor Suzan Kihika assumed office she has been undermining other elected leaders and calling them names in front of the people who elected them. Senator. Governor Kihika has been undermining our efforts especially my oversight role. I thought she would appreciate my oversight role as my predecessor but instead she is rubbishing my role day in day out,” she stated.

“I am only playing my role as mandated by the residents of Nakuru County and as guided by the constitution,” she added.
