Singer Akothee and her husband Denis Schweizer aka Omosh have been making headlines following allegations that they have broken up, just a few months after their lavish wedding.
The allegations were fueled by the musician cryptic post that she shared online on Sunday. Akothee stated that she had been undergoing therapy after experiencing a mental breakdown that came after encountering some shocking details.
Although she did not detail what has been going on in her life, Akothee said that she was finally healing.
“I have come out of a very dangerous Zone and I have been healing in private, I am on my 2nd month of therapy. The trauma I went through after finding out the truth & some ugly stuff that left me shaking. Went days without food & No sleep, questioning and answering myself, it has been very heavy some days a night will just break into a day with me looking outside the window guessing at nothing , I would be shaking for reasons I can’t explain, and just remember,I still had work to do, A family and an empire to protect . I still had to put on a strong Face and entertain my fans ,” her confession read in part.
The long post has drawn reactions from her fans, celebrities and her wedding guests including Butita who graced the April wedding in style.
The well known comedian in Kenya took a pique into the rumoured break up of Omosh and Akothee with a rant which he posted on his Facebook page stating he arrived at the wedding with a chopper only for the couple to separate months later.
He however maintained that he will standd with Akothee while lambasting men.
“Yani mpaka nikakuja na ndege, men are trash, I stand with My sister she can not go through this alone we have to undo this wedding rewind” he wrote.
The comedian hired a chopper to fly to Akothee’s wedding which was held at Windsor Golf Hotel and Country Club on April 10, 2023.
