Director Trevor has further criticized his ex-girlfriend Mungai Eve over interview with Simon Kabu.

Speaking with Ankali Ray, the CEO of Digital Content Creators Association of Kenya said that he wasn’t criticizing Eve because he was bitter at her, but because it is his job to correct where things go wrong in digital content creation.

“Our elderly deserve respect. They know what they are doing and is not good to talk to them in a demeaning manner. If it was anybody else, I would have still talked because am the CEO of Content creators  and when I see things are not going well I have to talk. The people we interview are people’s role models and when you embarrass them like that it lowers [their respect]. Even  if they are used to each other when it comes to the camera it is where we draw the line. Fans are not aware that you are used to each other,” Trevor said.

He further denied claims of targeting Eve Mungai in his posts especially after she was criticized for posing with bikinis yet she claims to be a journalist.

“There is no need of going extra board.  It reaches a point that people think for you to get likes on Instagram you have to be naked. It is not like that. We should not spoil our generation. Children have phones right now, what are they seeing online as they grow? They will think people are getting likes because of being naked and they will start doing the same once they see a camera,” he noted.

Trevor added that those with huge following on social media have influence to their consumers and hence need to be cautious about their messages and what they put out there because of the impact that it would cause to their followers.

He also advised Eve to resume studies and emulate other journalists like Lulu Hassan, Kanze Dena and Mashirima Kapombe.

“When you say you are journalist and they way you are dressing, before you continue talking just go to the internet and see how fellow journalists dress. Check Lulu Hassan. Don’t misuse the word journalist. Before you become a journalist, complete studies,  have ethics and know your purpose. Don’t be a socialite and hide yourself behind the name journalist.” Trevor said.

He added that as a journalists, their work is not to trend.

“Watu kama hawakuenda shule wakasoma warudi shule wasome chapter ya ethics pekee. Waaulize rafiki zao wenye wanafanya media,” Trevor said.

While responding to critics of her dressing and her interview with Simon Kabu, Eve said that it is her work to ensure that people talk about her and that she was loving it.
