Mosiria

Nairobi County Environment Chief Geoffrey Mosiria is seeking help from the public on how to address the issue o noise pollution by a rooster.

According to him, he received a complaint about the rooster thatย  crows in every 10 second from 5am to 5pm.

“We receive several complaints about noise pollution and as a government we must act and address all forms of noise pollution including this one that we have received,” he said.

It however seems that this is one of the difficult issues he has to deal with, because he is not aware of how he would approach the issue.

“This rooster is crying from 5am to 5pm every 10 seconds since 2months ago and the sound is super big. We tried to contact them but they never listen to us. We need your help please,” he said.

Mosiria has been addressing the issue of noise pollution in Nairobi ranging from churches to clubs in Nairobi. His most popular case is that of Quivers Lounge Kilimani that led to the clubs closure shortly.

The club however complied with the county’s demand announcing that it will stop playing loud music.

โ€œOur unique approach aims to create a space where guests can fully enjoy their time without the distraction of loud music. We believe people can still have a great time connecting, sharing in the joy of togetherness. As we embark on this new adventure, we invite everyone to join us. Together, we can create a peaceful and conducive environment, one free from noise, where the energy of our guests sets the tone of the evening,” the club said.
