Trudy Kitui has opened up on why she doesn’t get along with  her fellow YouTuber Mungai Eve.

In an interview with Commentator, Trudy dived down the memory lane, narrating how their encounter was off since their first day of meeting.

“On my videos, I used to write inspired by Mungai Eve  because I used to love her job and how she was committed despite being tiny. We first met at the Kenya National Theatre, I was so happy. When I went to hug her she told me she had applied make up  as she was going for a photoshoot and she told me I might ruin it,” Trudy said.

Trudy says she apologized and she told Eve how she is so proud of her. They would then take photos and a few videos.

“I felt so low. I wondered why she behaved like that and concluded that maybe I wasn’t familiar and it was the first time we were meeting. I thought we would be okay the next time we meet, I didn’t take it personally,” she said.

The two met the second time while  interviewing Diana and Bahati.

“There were many people including us upcoming. We requested her told hold microphones for us and she said she can’t hold more than three because she would get tired. We wanted sound and I  wondered what I would do. I decided to move forward and hold more than 8 microphones. She then told me to move aside to provide room for Presenter Ali,” she said.

Trudy however refused to move and they proceeded with the interview.  Eve asked was given time to ask her questions and when Trudy attempted to ask hers, she was cut short.

“I decided to keep quiet and she asked all the questions,” Trudy recounted.

Later the following, she received a lengthy text message from Eve Mungai.

“She told me ‘Who do you think you are, if I tell you to step aside you do so, my brand is too big so…,’ ” she said, adding that she replied to her saying she was also working and trying to survive as well.

According to Trudy, Eve would push her aside during interviews, despite the fact that she would arrive late.

“I used to wonder why she would treat me like that and yet I had never wronged her. During questions, she would still cut me short. I used to cry until it reached a point I stopped acknowledging her in my videos,” she said.

Speaking to commentator a week earlier, Eve defended herself saying that there is no way she could have wasted time  by not asking her questions, because upcoming content creators we asking irrelevant questions that would saw artists walk away.

“If you are trending, any other content creator will want to talk about you ndio apate views. Why is she talking now and I have been silent the whole year. I am not that kind of person that will wait  for a chance to ask my questions, I will grab if you don’t and you will feel I have put you down, so it is you to try and get chance,” Eve said.
