The missing Kitengela brothers and an activist, who saw immediate former Acting IG Gilbert Masengeli convicted, have been found alive.
According to a statement from the Law Society of Kenya(LSK) president Faith Odhiambo, the brothers, Jamil and Aslam Longton were dumped at Nairobi-Kiambu border in Gachie by those who abducted them.
In a video shared by Odhiambo, the brothers said they were dumped in a thicket.
“I thank Kenyans and those who stood with us. We were released tonight before daybreak. We walked until we got to an estate where we were able to charge our phones and communicated to our family. We thank God that we are alive and we will speak more through the LSK president,” Jamil said.
Activist Bob Njagi, who was abducted with the brothers was also confirmed to be safe and sound. For him, he was able to seek assistance at Tigoni police station at around 1 am.
“To family, friends and every Kenyan that has continued to pray for me, I wish to confirm that I am well and with my family. It is now time to quiet the noise, be grateful for life and for everyone to reflect on why Kenya matters.,” Bob and his family said.

The trio were abducted on August 19 by police who ferried them in a Subaru. Their re-appearance however comes just hours after Inspectr General of police Douglas Kanja and DCI Boss Amin Mohammed said they were not abducted by the National Police Service.
Following their disappearance, their families moved to court to establish their whereabouts, with the court ordering police present the individuals before it.
Masengeli was summoned severally to appear before the court and explain their whereabouts but he ignored the court summons, saying that he was committed. He was then sentenced to prison for 6 months after being found guilty of contempt of court.
Justice Lawrence Mugambi however gave him a 7-day window to appear before him over the matter. The deadline elapses this Friday.
On Thursday, he bowed to pressure, agreeing to appear before Justice Mugambi at mid-day. The judge was however engaged with another case. The defence team appeared before Justice Chacha Mwita for the mention, directing them to appear before Justice Mugambi on Friday morning.
