Former Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho has broken silence after Citizen TV journalists, Yvonne Okwara, Linus Kaikai and Sam Gituku, laughed at his academic qualification.
During last week’s news gang show, the trio were analyzing the academic qualifications of the persons that President William Ruto has nominated to his new cabinet.
There was a moment of silence when Hassan Joho’s name came up because they couldn’t tell what he studied, and they couldn’t back hold their laughter either.
Addressing the mockery, Joho however revealed that he now has two degrees, despite being a D- student
He added that he will only know that he is able to deliver, if he gives a try to the position he was nominated.
“I was a D- Minus but I hold two degree now and I am the first governor of Mombasa. It will go down in history that Ali Hassan Joho was the first governor of Mombasa. Watch this space, Ala. I know it is possible. How would I know if I don’t give it a shot. There are certain things that makes us human, one of them is to win and to lose but I must give it a try,” he said.
