Nandi youths abruptly ended Governor Stephen Sang’s speech, calling it a fraud, after they marched to his office on Tuesday to ask questions about many projects that had been put on hold.
The demonstrators expressed their indignation and sought a meeting with the governor, accusing him of neglecting to carry out important countywide initiatives.
The demonstrators were heard continuously shouting the governor’s name in the video, which has since gone viral on the internet, as they demanded to meet with him.
Sang was obliged to address the protestors after spending hours outside the governor’s office.
The governor promised to listen to the demonstrators’ requests and said he was prepared to interact with them during his speech.
Sang urged the young people who are protesting to engage in a discourse so they can voice their complaints.
“You have the right to be heard, and I’m prepared to have a conversation with you. Governor Sang said, “I came here because the government needs to listen to you Gen Zs.”

“I want you to tell me in what way we can engage in a meaningful dialogue,” Sang continued.
He also pleaded with the demonstrators to refrain from holding violent demonstrations and assured them that a long-term solution to their concerns will be found.
Declaring they would hold another meeting until they receive answers to their concerns, the people left the gathering.
He had already implored Gen Z to spare the families of MPs who voted in favour because they were not involved in the decision-making process.
