Bongo superstar Diamond Platnumz has once again proven to be the lion of East Africa. This is after he convinced renown American singer Jason Derulo to collaborate with him in a music video.

Diamond shared a screenshot of his conversation with Derulo and so did Derulo. The screenshot indicated that that Diamond reached out to Derulo in March 2021 with the request.

” A big fan my brother and I would really like to feature you on my song broo,” Diamond said.

Responding to him, Derulo said, ” Let’s go. Send me the files I’ll knock it down.”

Diamond expressed his excitement on the feedback saying, ” God bless you bro.”

The report comes just days after another top American musician, Chris Brown, jumped into Komasava viral challenge. Komasava is  a song by  Diamond platinumz ft Khalil Harrison and Chley .Chris Brown’s move was a big surprise for Diamond .

Diamond Platnumz, renowned for his chart-topping hits such as ‘Mapozi’, ‘Shu’, ‘Yatapita, and ‘My Baby’, has had a very successful 2024. Many of his latest hits show how the artist has invested in making good music videos that can be consumed globally.

Over the years, he has had a number of successful international collaborations, such as ‘Marry You’ with Neyo, ‘African Beauty’ featuring Omarion, ‘Waka’ featuring Rick Ross, and ‘Hallelujah’ with Jamaican reggae group Morgan Heritage.

Fans have shown their excitement following the much awaited collabo with Jason Derulo.

Jason Derulo is among the most sought after artist in America due to his various hits and massive following on his social media accounts, that boasts of over 30 million followers.

Currently Diamond is in France attending the Paris fashion week an events that is being graced by various artists such Wizkid, Burna boy ,Rema  among others.
