Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has left Kenyans in stitches following his encounter with President William Ruto who was in Kakamega county for the official launch of Kakamega County International Investment Conference on Wednesday.
Several leaders had lined up to welcome the president and he shook their hands one by one.
When the turn of the youthful MP came, he wanted to ensure that the moment was captured on camera. He firmly held Ruto’s hand as he maintained eye contact with his camera man, as if he was awaiting a confirmation that the moment was captured.
After exchanging pleasantries, the head of state lightly asked him why his hair was unkempt.
“Mbona haujachanua nywele?” Ruto posed.
“Nitachanua ukisema,” Salasya responded making those around burst in laughter

“Since The president is happy expect good news of lowering taxes very soon. I will keep our president happy until he makes our economy happy 😄 🤣 😂.” he said.
“Guess what The president advised me when he took more time with me whilst greeting me 😄 🤣 😂. Welcome Mr president for coming in kakamega and ensuring Baba becomes AU chairman come rain come sunshine,” he further said in a separate post.
