Taarab singer Khadija Kopa has given Tanzanian digital journalists a taste of their own medicine after they sought to know her take on Zuchu and Diamond’s romantic relationship.
The content creators overwhelmed her with the questions but she was cagy about sharing any details.
“Hayo mahusiano siyajui. Mahusiano yake siyajui mimi najua Zuchu ndio mwanangu, mahusiano yake nitayajua siku atakuja kutolewa mahari.Haya mahusiano atayuajua ye mwenyewe(I am not aware of thatt relationship Zuchu is my daughter, I will know about her relationship when her dowry is being paid),” she adamantly said.
The vloggers were however not letting Kopa off the hook and wanted to know if Zuchu had ever told her that she is a relationship.
“Sijui chochote, mambo ya boyfriend mimi najuaje mimi mtu mzima,” she responded.
She was also asked whether she desires Zuchu to get married anytime soon and get her grandchildren.
“Atamani mweneyewe si ye ndio anaolewa, mimi nikitamani nitaolea mimi:? Wajukuu mimi ninao tele si lazima wake yeye. Mungu akimjalia siku atamjalia atapoolewa ataleta wajkukuu.(She should desire marriage herself as she is the one who is getting married. If I desire it am I going to get married on her behalf?I have many grandchildren and she will give me grandchildren after marriage if God wills,) she further said.
On the grandchildren issue, another Vlogger suggested that Kopa will be so pleased if she sires them with Diamond.
“Diamond ndio nani? Diamond si boss wake tu, Mimi simjui Diamond,” she responded, and further insisted that she is not aware of Diamond and Zuchu’s dating life.
The musician also denied coming across videos and photos of Diamond and Zuchu kissing online.
Kopa was also reluctant to share any relationship advice for the WCB CEO, saying that he has his own mother, who should do that.
