Popular Kenyan online comedian Elsa Majimbo continues to make major moves in Tinseltown, reaching heights that were unthinkable for the everyday Kenyan or African celebrity.

Over the weekend the comedic sensation was one of the lucky few who got an invite to the Black Excellence Brunch, an exclusive and fully-luxurious soirée for some of the most powerful and bankable black names in Hollywood.

Whilst at the event, Majimbo got to hang out with notable celebrities including Kelly Rowland, a five-time Grammy Award-winning singer, actress and television personality and also a former member of Destiny’s Child.

The proud mother of two sons, Titan and Noah, and wife of Tim Weatherspoon, looked stunning as she posed next to Majimbo, flaunting her two-tone ensemble of a brown skirt adorned with small artsy pieces and a plunging pink top tied into a bow along the waistline.

Majimbo, on her part, wore a white net skirt and a matching open front top, pairing the look with simple jewellery and a floral adornment around her head.

While sharing a rather misty photo of the twosome on Twitter, Majimbo wrote, “Rowling (with) Kelly!”

However, her not-so-flattering outfit got a few fashion-conscious people talking.

Twitter user @mogoti fired the first salvo, saying, “You can never remove the Kenyan in you ata upretend aje. Sasa ona vile unakaa.”

Here are some other comments on her Elsa Majimbo’s photo;

“Thats when the camera chose to misbehave.”

The Black Excellence Brunch was held on Sunday and was hosted by Trell Thomas at Serra on Vine in Los Angeles.

“Mkale you will still be buried in R. Valley.”

Mbona lips zako zimekauka hivyo.”

According to the Ebony Magazine, the founders of the event, the brunch caters to the Black and Brown community, creating a safe space for them to be unapologetically themselves, while developing relationships through networking over cocktails, a soul food styled meal, and a discussion based interview honoring the journey and latest achievements of hand-picked influential professionals in the community.
