Popular dancehall artist KRG The Don recently went viral after flaunting wads of cash while trying to negotiate a deal with a betting company.
Many questioned the source of his money, wondering if music alone is able to pay him that much. Others were concerned because KRG’s songs are not popular among most Kenyan insinuating that they can’t pay him that much.
KRG however has a message to those questioning his source of wealth. In an interview with Citizen Digital, he said that he can’t reveal how he makes his money because his enemies might strike him.
“Now that is none of their business, that’s where they go wrong. Everybody has their own ways and their own brains and you know we have enemies so you want me to come and tell my enemies how I make my money so that they can block and become broke. If you want to beat your enemies don’t fight them, don’t go and slap them the best way is to beat where their money is coming from,” KRG said.

He added that he runs businesses both locally and internationally. He also noted that he is only entitled to respond to questions about his wealth if they are coming from the authorities.
“We are very smart people, we do a lot of businesses not just locally internationally. I might just be here but but I do a lot of things for other people in different countries and I don’t have to explain to somebody not unless you have a legit question from the authorities you want to know hii pesa yangu imeingia hapa inaenda pale imetoka wapi. Those questioning my source of wealth it’s none of their business let them deal with it,” KRG said.
Addressing his recent statement about men who earn less than Kshs100,000, The father o four said that he didn’t to demean anyone.
“I am helping the boy child because of what, imagine your father and your mother gave birth to you they took you through the system, school, so that you can become a better person in future so instead of you getting small money and establish yourself first you are earning just 1000 dollars or less and the kind of economy and then you want to engage your brain, your heart and your feelings on another person that you can’t control without money,” the dancehall artist said.
