A middle-aged man in Seme Otwero village, Kisumu County, has been left  blind after a horrific acid attack orchestrated by his wife while he was sleeping. 

The victim,Julius Obat, 29, woke up to the agonizing pain of acid burning his face and eyes. Local authorities swiftly apprehended his wife, Nazra Shantel, 24, in connection with the attack.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the motive might have been rooted in a domestic dispute, details of which are yet to be fully disclosed.

The man, speaking from his hospital bed, expressed his disbelief and heartbreak over the incident.
