Tanzania’s bongo crooner Diamond Platinumz recently lived that Sauti Sol’s Bien is his favorite Kenyan artist.

In a video that was shared online, Diamond was captured singing to Bien’s Inauma song. He shortly turned to the camera and said, “That’s my favourite song from Bien of Sauti Sol. He is my favorite Kenyan artiste. I love the song,” before continuing to sing.

Reacting to that, Bien has said it is an honor for such a successful artist to like his music. He further confirmed that they are good friends and that he also likes Diamond’s music.

“Shout out to Diamond for just being my nigga. Diamond is my close person. We have been friends for so many years ever since we started hitting around the same time. Diamond is my colleague. It is a great honor for an artist as prolific like Diamond to like my music but I also love Diamond’s music, he is amazing. He inspires me in may ways, as a businessman,  his attitude. He is a necessary artist in this country, continent,  I also listen to his music,” Bien told SPM Buzz.

At the same time, Bien revealed he is working on a music project with Diamond.

“Yeah inakuja,” he said.

Aside from being recognized by Diamond, Bien is one of the most successful artists in Kenya. In March this year, he was listed as the most followed Kenyan artist on spotify with 450, 884 listeners in a month.

“My ancestors said this year we are cruising nicely. Big love to everyone vibing with me on @spotify and other major platforms,” he expressed his gratitude to his fans and followers.

Otile Brown came second with 388,925 listeners and Sauti Sol came third with 382, 309. Nikita Kering settled for the 4th position with 302, 702.
