The DCI has released a press briefing on their progress in the investigation of the people behind the killings of women found at Kware Nairobi.
In the press briefing, DCI revealed to have arrested a prime suspect whom they believe is involved in this terrifying serial killings.
“Early this morning at around one, we arrested the prime suspect named Collins Jumaisi. Yesterday we did recover one more body bringing to the total to nine bodies recovered so far,” acting inspector general Douglas Kanja revealed.
Kanja further called upon members of the public with information that can facilitate investigation to provide it to the police.
“The postmortem examinations are happening today. We call upon any member of the public with information that may aid the police in identifying the bodies or those who have cases of their missing persons to report to the DCI headquarters or to the nearest police station.”
The suspect was arrested at Soweto Kayole subcounty outside a club where he had gone to watch EURO finals.

DCI boss, Amin Mohamed Ibrahim listed items they recovered during their operation in arresting the suspect.
“We were able to recover 24 Airtel Sim card holders with new sim cards, eight smartphones with two feature phones, one laptop and one hard drive, two flash drives and a memory card, one machete that we believed was being used to dismember the victims, 12 nylon sacs similar to the ones that were used to stack the bodies at the Kware dump.”
In his possession was also a female hand bag and two female undies, all pink in colour, 5 rolls of bhang, 4 huge clear cello tapes similar to the one recovered at the scene, a reflector jacket, 2 title deeds, 2 notebooks and assorted documents as well as ribbons.
During interrogation, the suspect confessed to have been actively committing these dreadful actions since 2022.
“On interrogations, the suspect confessed to have lured, killed and disposed 42 female bodies at the dumping site all murdered between 2022 and as recent as Thursday 11th of July 2024,” Ibrahim added.
